Job Description: Electronics Technician

General Description:

Electronics Technician for the repair of electronic instrumentation and aircraft components. Candidate will be responsible for testing, troubleshooting, and repairing various avionics components in accordance with manufacturer’s specifications. Candidate will be skilled in electronic/mechanical disassembly and reassembly as well as high precision soldering.

 Responsibilities:

Candidate will test, troubleshoot, and perform the service work required for the maintenance of a variety of avionics components and will be required to repair electronic circuit cards to the component level.

Candidate will be utilizing various types of specialized test equipment to troubleshoot aircraft components and must be able to interpret circuitry through the reading of schematic diagrams.

  • After training, candidate will be working independently and be responsible for good decision making.
  • Candidate will be working with all aspects of avionic component designs and will be required to interact with engineering and quality personnel as required.
  • A strong mechanical aptitude and soldering experience are beneficial.
  • ESD & IPC certification are also beneficial.

  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • Professional demeanor and organizational skills.
  • Must have positive attitude and outstanding integrity.
  • Must participate in the DOT Anti-Drug & Alcohol Misuse Prevention Program that includes pre-employment and random testing.

Education:

A.A.S. in Electronics or equivalent formal training.
